The connection matters
RiceTrade is my public B2B platform project for rice mills, traders, buyers, brokers and related businesses. I am working on its planning and interface prototypes. It is separate from a private rice mill POS or a mobile daily-transactions app.
The problem starts before an order is placed. A business has to discover a relevant listing, understand who is behind it and begin a useful inquiry. A platform should make that path understandable.
A place for the broker
In this project, the broker is a core participant in the inquiry and deal journey. The design direction keeps the broker connected to the relevant businesses instead of quietly bypassing the intermediary.
Business categories, location information and verification records form part of the planned discovery process. These are product requirements to validate, not a claim that every account is already verified.
Build the first useful journey
The first useful version needs a clear business profile, readable listing details and a straightforward inquiry. Those journeys should be tested before adding a wider set of deal-management features.
A business account needs a different level of information from a normal user account. The planned verification process should collect what is needed and explain the next step without making every screen complicated.
The current stage
RiceTrade is in planning and prototype development. Account verification, backend integration and the complete inquiry workflow still need implementation and validation. The portfolio visuals are interface concepts using sample data.
My next step is to validate the account, listing and broker-supported inquiry flows before presenting the project as a live marketplace.
